The classic cloak and dagger film. Under the false name George Welby, George de Rionero, a doctor (Steffen) returns to his Italian hometown of Sorrento to uncover the background that led to his father's execution. The Marquis de Rionero was murdered on behalf of another man of high nobility, who after the death of the marquise who now can manage the estate has fallen for the blind daughter (Martin). But George sees through his wrong game and saves the girl's eyesight in a daring operation and, using the mask of Zorro, he puts a stop to the murders and, due to his efforts a legend.
