Spaghetti Western Director, Screenwriter – Giuseppe Accatino
Giuseppe Accattino was born in Genoa, Liguria, Italy on September 2, 1914. Accattino was an Italian producer, film director, screenwriter.
After graduating in architecture from the Academy of Fine Arts, Giuseppe Accattino attended the CSC (Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia) in Rome. After a few documentaries that are considered lost, he founded the film production company S.I.L.A. (Società Italiana Lanci Artistici) after the Second World War, with which he directed, wrote and produced his only feature film, “Buffalo Bill a Roma” (Buffalo Bill in Rome), in 1949. The film was torn apart by critics and was not distributed until 1951 (and again in 1953). In the credits his last name was spelled with only one ‘T’ Accatino. Another planned project failed.
Giuseppe died in Rome on April 20, 1979 at the aga of 64.

Spaghetti Western Cinematographers – Sante Achilli
Sante Achilli was born in 1934. He was a cameraman who worked in the electrical department early on and then became a cinematographer and even appeared as an actor in the 1956 short film “Ragazzi di Trastevere”.
He worked as a cameraman on twenty-five films between 1956-1970 and as a cinematographer on nine films between 1967-1970. His only Spaghetti western was “John the Bastard” in 1967.
Sante's biggest claim to fame was that he was romantically involved with actress Catherine Spaak after her breakup with her first husband producer, actor, singer Fabrizio Capucci [1939- ]. In fact there’s a photo of Achilli and Spaak touting he was her fiancé. Achilli had been a cameraman on several of her films.
What has become of Sante is unknown.
