Comm: The title LONELY TRAPPER IN THE WILD WEST appeared in a German ad for the firm ‘Raleigh & Robert’, placed by their Paris office. The French title and company are unknown.
‘Raleigh & Robert’ was a significant French film company in the early silent cinema era that was involved in film production and international distribution, including to the UK and US. Franck Zeveley Maguire & Joseph Deyoe Baucus were two Americans, along with Brit Will Barker, who were all based in London and handled films of Edison & Lumière and others before branching out.
