The Cabanna “El Proscrito” was built in the location of “Golden City” in Hoyo de Manzanares, Spain.
This structure was made of plaster trying to imitate brick as seen in many old, abandoned houses. It also was used as a typical Mexican farmhouse.
The set was built for the film “El Proscrito del Rio Colorado” (Outlaw of Red River) in 1965 and was used as the range shack. It was here Reese O’Brien found and was beaten by Espado ad his henchmen trying to find out information on the return of General Camargo. Several sequences were filmed here. The building was used also in “Héroes a la fuerza” (Loose) in 1966.
The set was never destroyed in any film so most likely it
was just dismantled as nothing remains at the site.
