Little Known Spaghetti Western actors ~ Ned Dennehy

[These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]

Ned Denehy is a prolific Irish character actor known for distinctive roles in British, Irish, and American productions, including Peaky Blinders, Tyrannosaur, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1, Outlander, and Shōgun, building a diverse career since the late 1990s.

Born on December 8, 1965, the Irish actor hasn't necessarily found his "big break" quite yet, the character actor has quietly worked alongside the best in the business since making his screen debut in 1996. After popping up in several Irish TV series, he entered the Hollywood scene with a supporting role in the dragon-slaying adventure flick "Reign of Fire," starring Christian Bale and Matthew McConaughey.

Dennehy quickly found his niche in period films and costume dramas, snagging bit roles in films like Guy Ritchie's "Sherlock Holmes" and Ridley Scott's "Robin Hood." A significant supporting part in Paddy Considine's 2011 drama "Tyrannosaur" helped stretch his acting chops beyond background work.

So far Ned’s appeared in two Euro-westerns: “The Keeping Room” as Caleb and the Euro-western television series ‘An Klondike’ as Captain Pat ‘Irish Pat’ Galvin both in 2013.
