Sverre Anker Ousdal was one of Norway’s most recognized
actors. From his debut at the age of 21 at Den Nationale Scene in Bergen in
1965 until today, the stage artist was still in full force until his death on
January 3rd. He was 81. The father of actor Mads Ousdal was born in Flekkefjord,
Norway on July 18, 1944, his stage debut was in 1965 at Den Nationale Scene in
Bergen. He was at the Oslo Nye Teater in the period 1967 to 1970, and at the
National Theatre from 1970. Ousdal developed over the years into one of the
country's most experienced film and television actors, not least for his
collaboration with Øivind Blunck as Klabb and Babb and for his voice role in
the TV series about "Postman Pat". Ousdal appeared as Lindberg in the
1996 Euro-western “North Sar” with James Caan and Christopher Lambert.
