'Trinidad' is the new feature film starring Gabriela Andrada (“Pídeme lo que quieras”), Paz Vega (“Goya star for Lucía and el sexo, Rita”) and Karla Sofía Gascón, based in Gran Canaria. The first project featuring the protagonist Emilia Pérez after Jacques Audiard's film would become one of the award-winning phenomena of recent times.

This super-production of action and adventure set in the North American West is estimated to exceed 14 million euros and was created and directed by Laura Alvea (“The sleeping woman”, “The snow girl”) and José Ortuño (“548 Days: Captured by a Secta”, “Regulations for a Successful Page'). The cast is completed by Milena Smit (“Madres Paralelas”, “La chica de nieve”), Sofía Allepuz (“Rita”), Guillermo Bedward (“The Outlaws”,”'Perverso”), James Giblin (“Way down”), Antonio Dechent (“Cerrar los ojos”, “Smoking Room”) and Alfonso Sánchez (“El mundo es nuestro”, “Grupo 7”).

At the end of the 19th century, a young Spanish girl called Trinidad (Gabriela Andrada) comes to the Savage West accompanied by her mother (Paz Vega) and her mother (Sofía Allepuz) seeking the justice that pursues her in her country. Detangling the roles that society of the time imposes on women, Trinidad discovers her innate ability with weapons, a talent that allows her to support her family, but which also brings her into the midst of prejudices and enemies, among those who enter the life of Bronson (Karla Sofía Gascón). When the young gunslinger is unjustly accused of a crime that has no comeback, Trinidad will be forced to become a fugitive, leading a gang of criminals who will help her to plan her arrival.

About the directors

The writers and directors, Laura Alvea and José Ortuño, have a great trajectory in the world of entertainment. As the creative duo co-directed the large-scale films “Animas”, “The Extraordinary Tale of the Times Table”, and the documentary “Fernando Torres, the Last Symbol” (Prime Video), they also have had directing and writing projects alone. In the case of Alvea, we encounter the film “The Sleeping Woman” or the Netflix series “The Snow Girl” while some of the most relevant titles from Ortuño have been “548 Days Captured by a Secta” (Disney+) and “Normas” for a successful page, film available on the Divergent platform.

Ortuño also wrote screenplays for other directors, such as “Mamacruz”, released at the Sundance Festival or the documentary miniseries “The State of Pablo Ibar” and “Where is Marta?”. For the time being, Alvea has emerged as a director assistant for films as relevant as “La trinchera infinita”, “Kiki, el amor se hace” or the series “Arde Madrid”.

About this project, Ortuño and Alvea have declared: “The work of 'Trinidad' has exceeded all our expectations. Not only do we rely on the mediums, backgrounds and presuppositions necessary to bring this story to the table as we conceive it - without concessions or backgrounds -, until we keep the track record of working with a first level technical and artistic team. Working with the one we consider one of the best photography directors on the national scene, David Azcano (“La casa de pape'l, 'Sky Rojo'”), passing through the production designer Alexis Santos Santana, who has mastered with brilliance the titanic task of constructing more than 50 vintage decorations, hasta la Dress designer Deborah del Pino, with whom Ortuño you have collaborated in Normas for a successful page. But, above all, in the department, an exceptional list included by Paz Vega, Milena Smit, Gabriela Andrada and Karla Sofía Gascón, who raised the story to another level”
