"Last Light Mile" Single Released, Previews Apek's Album, Out This Fall (2014)

The new single by Alberto Pecorelli, aka Apek, has officially been released, entitled “Last Light Mile” which anticipates his first solo album coming out in the fall (2014). The Turin artist approaches the international public by proposing his own vintage deep rock sound and focusing on the suggestive emotion of a “metropolitan country” accompanied by an original video, inspired by the “Spaghetti western” genre. Signed by the Orvieto director Giovanni Bufalini, the videoclip is produced by Stefano Profeta’s Carpe Diem Music in collaboration with the Roman School of Photography and Cinema.

Apek's single and entire debut album were recorded and mixed during the first six months of 2014 in Orvieto at Mami Records by producer and arranger Stefano Profeta for the Carpediem label, together with Marco Cocchieri and Luca Pellegrini.

“Last Light Mile” or “The Last Mile of Light”, towards the shadow that regenerates from fatigue, towards reaching a goal that was worth waiting for. A quiet wait, a necessary meditation to define every little move to play the decisive round at best even if it is destiny that deals the cards. “It is not worth pretending to get the best result, the serenity and comfort along our last mile of light towards the desired finish line.” (Apek, July 2014)

Alberto Pecorelli, aka Apek, was born in Turin in November 1971. Always passionate about music, he began writing songs in the late 1980s, playing with his brother Alessandro and in some local bands. His musical education in his adolescence was inspired by the Greats of Rock who led him to develop a simple and passionate style. Life then led him to take different paths from his musical career and towards the end of the 1990s he began working for an American multinational. But the dream was in the drawer and the passion did not fade. Having become over the years a respected manager and caring family man, he resumed his artistic activity thanks to new inspirations gathered during his various experiences abroad and thus decided to realize his musical dream, to undertake that last mile of light towards his hoped-for finish line.
