Today marks the 50th anniversary of the
premier of “… e cosi divennero i 3 supermen del West” (Three Supermen of the
West” directed by Italo Martinenghi, George Martin and starring Martin, Sal
Borgese and Frank Brana. The story finds out three super heroes in Rome, where the
eminent scientist Aristide Panzarotti (Gigi Bonos), has discovered how to make
a time machine and to the test it out, he traveled back in time and witnessed
the destruction of Pompeii. The FBI, interested in the machine, sends an agent,
Sal (Sal Borgese) who is aided by his friends Brad (Frank Brana) and George
(George Martin). The three enter the villa Panzarotti and with the machine go
back in time and witness the attack on Pearl Harbor and the Normandy landing,
they then arrive in Kansas in 1867. Here they are robbed of the vehicle by the
bandit Navajo Joe (Pedro Sanches). They find him at the local saloon but are captured
by his henchmen and held captive in their lair. They are helped to escape by
the undertaker Oliver (Julio Tabernero) and Yolanda (Ágata Lys), the daughter
of a Protestant pastor mystic. They manage to start the time machine and arrive
safely back in Rome, but before separating, they attend the destruction of the
machine, the cause of so many messes.
