Who Are Those Gals? Maria Cuadra

María Jesús Cuadra Pérez was born in Madrid, Spain on Christmas Eve 1936. She is the daughter of torero Antonio Cuadra Belmonte "Antonete"

 Known to filmgoers as María Cuadra she is a Spanish film and TV actress who starred in both Spanish and international films such as “Platero and I”, “Last Meeting”, “Vuelve San Valentin”. She’s worked with such actors as Van Johnson, Anita Ekberg, Fernando Rey She’s appeared in over 20 films and TV appearances beginning in with a role in 1957’s “Marisa la civetta” and her career ended with several roles in the Spanish TV series ‘Studio 1’ in 1971, 1977 and 1982. She was married to Italian actor and producer Eduardo De Santis from 1959-1992. They met in the movie set of 'Le Belle dell'Aria' (Beauties of the Sky) a Spanish Italian co-production of 1957 where both played roles as actors. She has three children Natasha, Nicolas and Antonella

Cuadra appeared in two Euro-westerns: “The Fury of Johnny Kid” (1966) as Roselyn/Lezerinf and “The Price of Power” (1969) as Lucretia Garfield. Today she lives in Madrid where she’s active in charity work and is an ambassador for both UNICEF and the International Red Cross.
