Who Are Those Gals? ~ Mara Cruz

 

Born Maria Isabel Paloma González on March 24, 1941, in Madrid, Spain. After high school she attended music and ballet classes with Laura de Santelmo at the Madrid Conservatory. She later attended the Institute of Cinematographic Research and Experiences  Instituto de Investigaciones y Experiencias Cinematográficas (IIEC) in Madrid. She first appeared as Mónica in the 1957 “Madrugada” and she finished after 32 films in 1976 as Andres’ girlfriend in “Santo in the Mystery of the Black Pearl”. Her Spaghetti western career consisted of five films.

Mara also appeared in several TV appearances such as ‘Los Paladines’ in 1972 and in several television plays such as ‘Primera fila’, Estudio 1 and ‘Gran Turino’.
