La Calahorra – Railroad Station


The La Calahorra railroad station is located nineteen kilometers east of the city of Guadix. The station buildings, with some modifications, is a binary of the Almeria-Guadix railway and was used as a set in various films, including "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" (1966); "Death Rides a Horse" (1967); "Seven Guns for the MacGregors" (1966): "Once Upon a Time in the West" (1968) (as the Flagstone station, where Jill (Claudia Cardinale) arrives; "The Price of Power" (1969) (as a station of the city of Dallas); "The Hunting Party" (1971); "Pancho Villa" (1972) (where it represents the station of the American city of Columbus, New Mexico in which the men of Pancho Villa attack the train that carries General Goyo); "The Man Called Noon" (1973); "My Name is Nobody" (1973) (a building with a barrel roof - a few meters east of the station - used in this film still has the words "Magazine Golden Plume Limited"); "Whiskey and Fantasy" (1974).
