European comic books! Albi Ferrero / Albi Salgari

The Albi Ferrero series of comic books was published in 1948, and consisted of 41 issues beginning with #1 in 12/12/1948 and ending with #41 on 9/20.1949. It was published in Milan, Italy at the publishing house of Editrice Star underthe direction of Tristano Torelli and Gisto Veglieri. It was a weekly publication with color cover and pages of black white cartoon drawings which were usually contained within its 12 pages.

It initially printed material that had appeared in the newspaper Salgari and then it began using unpublished stories. Drawings were by Walter Molino, Rino Albertarelli, Raffaele Paparella, Paolo Piffarerio, Camillo Zuffi, Dino Attanasio, Dario Natoli with covers drawn by Palu (Franco Paludetti) except those on numbers 9 and 10 which were drawn by Paolo Piffarerio. Beginning with #7 (January 25, 1949 changes were made in the heading design and from #15 (March 22, 1949) the title was changed to Albi Salgari, a weekly of great adventures. Several of these were western adventures.
