I CYCLE "A PEOPLE FOR FILM"
(April 9 - May 3, 2015)
Ayuntamiento de Hoyo de Manzanares
March 28, 2015
"The Western Village, known as" Golden City
"built in Hoyo de Manzanares in 1962 by a hundred men which took 75,000
hours of work to construct. 30 kilos of dynamite and 500 linear meters of
boreholes were used to clear the rock and stone covered lands. In total 300
cubic meters of wood, sixty tons of cement and a half million bricks were used
in the construction of the buildings.
What movies were filmed in our Golden City?
Did you know that actors visited our town and worked in
Hoyo at this time?
Do you know what Hoyo neighbors participated in the films
that were filmed in our town?
In this I Cycle "Hoyo a town of film," we will
approach this part of our history with lectures, films, real testimonials and
an exhibition of objects and charming characteristics.
