Juan
José Maján Sosa was born on April 13, 1924 in Malagón, Ciudad Real, Spain. Maján
began his film career as an actor appearing under his last name Maján in the
1957 film “Muchachas de azul” directed by Pedro Lazaga. His appearances in film
as an actor continued until 1988 and the movie “Slugs”. Later when his career
started to slow down he turned to doing stunt work and as a stunt coordinator
on the Euro-western “The Hunting Party” (1971). In all he appeared in six Euro-westerns
acting in three: “Gunmen of the Rio Grande” (1964), “Land Raiders” (1969), and
“Montana Trap” (1975). He was a stuntman on three: “The Hunting Party” (1971),
“Take a Hard Ride” (1975) and “The Return of El Coyote” (1997).
Juan Majan died in Spain on June 9, 2006.
Today we remember Juan Majan on what would have been his 90th birthday.
