Nancy Karen Morgan was born on April 1, 1949 in Hinsdale,
Illinois. Morgan is the daughter of Marjorie (née Greenfield) and Samuel A.
Morgan, Jr., sister of singer David Morgan and is a niece of John
"Red" Morgan, who was awarded the Medal of Honor for his bravery
during World War II in 1943, events which were later fictionalized in the movie
“Twelve O'Clock High” (1949).
Nancy starred opposite Ron Howard in Howard's directorial debut, “Grand Theft Auto” (1977), as well as starring as Lotta Legs opposite Italian film star Terence Hill in the Euro-western film and television series “Lucky Luke” (1991), which was based on comic-strip hero Lucky Luke. Morgan worked many years with former husband, John Ritter, as co-host of the national United Cerebral Palsy Telethon, and in television movies ‘The Dreamer of Oz’ (1990), and Danielle Steel's ‘Heartbeat’ (1993). She played opposite Ritter in the feature film, “Americathon” (1979), and made a guest appearance in his television series, ‘Hooperman’ (1988).
Now a days she serves on the board of Earth Communications Office, on the advisory council for Women Against Gun Violence, and the leadership council for Conservation International.
Today we celebrate Nancy Morgan’s 65th birthday.
