American Oscar-winning makeup artist
Greg Cannom, whose career spans over four decades as a prosthetics and SFX
master, passed away at the age of 73 on May 9, 2025. Born Gregory Earl Cannom
in Washington, D.C. on August 21, 1951, the legendary artist was nominated for
14 Academy Awards and won four Oscars for his work on Bram Stoker’s “Dracula”,
“Mrs. Doubtfire”, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”, and “Vice”. He was a
makeup artist on the 2015 Euro-western “Janes Got a Gun”.
