RIP Éric Legrand

 


French theater, film, TV actor and voice dubber Éric Legrand died on May 22nd in Paris from myeloma in France, he was 67. Born in France on August 5, 1958, in Paris, the actor specialized in dubbing. He was the regular voice of Cameron Daddo, Frank Whaley, John Slattery and Alexis Denisof and one of the voices of Owen Wilson. He started working by recording radio dramas for radio, in parallel with his studies at the National Superior Conservatory of Dramatic Art of Paris and with several theater plays. Legrand was mostly known for his voice talent in anime dubbing, being for example the French voice of Vegeta in Dragon Ball since 1986 or Seiya in the Saint Seiya series. Legrand was the French narrator and voice of Jolly Jumper, Jack and William Dalton in the 2001-2003 French animated TV series ‘ The New Adventures of Lucky Luke’.
