Little Known Spaghetti Western actors ~ Catharina Conti

[These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]

Catharina Conti comes from Munich, Bavaria, Germany where she was born on April 18, 1950. She began her career in the film industry at the age of 18. In the 1970s, she appeared as a film actress under the direction of Franz Antel, Franz Josef Gottlieb, Harald Reinl, Werner Jacobs, Georg Tressler and Niklaus Schilling, among others. Her first film role was as Erika in 1971’s “Cream - Schwabing-Report” (Secret Life of a Schoolgirl Wife). Conti was described as a "new discovery" in film. In the film comedy “Außer Rand und Band am Wolfgangsee: (1972), the actress Angelika Bender was her German dubbed voice.

In the 1970s, Conti lived in New York City and was crowned Miss Hot Dog at Nathan’s on July 4, 1977. 

In the early 80s, she appeared in two films by underground filmmaker Lothar Lambert.

After a long break from filming, she appeared in a recurring role as hotel manager Beate in the German Austrian television series ‘Almenrausch und Pulverschnee’ (1993), directed by Franz Antel.

Today she’s living in Kissimmee, Florida.

Her only Euro-western was “Der Schrei der schwarzen Wölfe” (Cry of the Black Wolves) in 1972 as Akaena.
