When Carlo Simi had to prepare the cross for Arch
Stanton's grave and write his name on it, he referred to a photo that he saw in
a book, which seemed perfect in its desolate simplicity, and from which he also
copied by hand the typeface engraved on the wood. It was the grave of Colonel
Myles Walter Keogh, commander of the legendary Seventh Cavalry.
