Tino Wong Cheung is most likely a brother or at least relative of actor Yeun Cheung-Yan. He was born Tien Lung Chen in China and was a familiar face of "old school" Kung Fu movies, Tino Wong Cheung had the potential to break out of the eternal second roles. We must believe that his smile, sadistic limit, did not help him ...
The martial formation of Tino Wong Cheung is unknown, but we can however think that it is a product of the opera of Beijing in view of the acrobatics of which he was capable. With this training, he began a career as a stuntman. Like his many colleagues from that time, he worked from studio to studio, wherever the work was. He can be seen in Shaw Brothers productions (“The Blood Brothers”, “Mad World Of Fools”) and Golden Harvest productions such as “Fist to Fist”.
From 1977, he joined Seasonal which gave him the first roles in “Secret Rivals Part 2”, one of the few opportunities in Tino Wong Cheung's career to show what he was capable of. How ever, his two acting partners (John Liu and Hwang Jang Lee) will tend to clip him. This opportunity will remain unique, and Tino Wong Cheung finds secondary roles for the following films of the company like “Invincible Armor” or “Drunken Master”. His collaboration with Seasonal allowed him to try choreography with “Butterfly Murders” in 1979.
With the end of "old school" Kung Fu movies, Tino Wong Cheung disappeared from the screen, probably to work on TV. He made only a few appearances in the cinema from the mid-1980s.
He had appeared in more than 70 films between 1972 and 1989 with “El karate el Colt y el impostor” (The Stranger and the Gunfighter) in 1974 where he appeared as a constable his only Spaghetti western.
