50th Anniversary of “The Return of Shanghai Joe”

 

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the release of “The Return of Shanghai Joe”. The film was directed by Mario Caiano and Luigi Russo and starred Chen Lie, Tommy Polgár and Klaus Kinski. The Fim tells the story of Two rogues, Shanghai Joe and his partner a traveling salesman, who help a Mexican village defend its newly discovered oil deposits from a crooked businessman. In the end the town boss Barnes turns out to be the villain and is unmasked and defeated.
