Captain Miki
Thiswas a new comic book series of Collana Scudo (the previous one presented I 3 Desperados) with comic strips that publish all the original stories of Captain Miki both in the EsseGesse version (Serie #1/30) and that of Amilcare Medici (texts), Franco Bignotti and Nicolino Del Principe (drawings).
In the appendix to the comic strips, several serialized series of English productions are published, even if created by Italian, Spanish and Argentine authors: Il mistero del “Ranch Solitudine” by Emilio Uberti (#s13/21 XII); Aeam (#1 XIII #12 XIV); “I forzati dell’avventura” by Sergio Tarquinio (#13 XIV #4 XVII); Buffalo Bill #s5/21 XVII); Buck Brando by Franco Bignotti (#1 XVIII #12 XIX); The Valley of Coyote by Andrea Lavezzolo and Sergio Tarquinio (#13XIX series #6 XX); Steve Morgan the Trapper by F. The cover graphics change with the #1 of Series I/V, VII, X, XI, and from #13 of Series XXII and with the #s 1, 7 and 28 of the Collana Freccia. Announced, but never published, #118 “Shadows of the Past”.
A total of 825 issues were released, divided into 35 series. The first 30 series were not numbered progressively and were part of the Collana Scudo. From Series XXXI (January 17, 1965) the title was part of the Collana Freccia and the numbering of the strips was progressive. Each issue contained one episode of Captain Miki and one of Il Grande Blek (#s 1/93), one of Captain Miki and two of Il Grande Blek IL (#s 94/117).
The series was published in 1951 with issue # 1 being released on January 7, 1951 and it ended with issue #825 on October 15, 1967. It was published in Milan, Italy by Edizioni Dardo, Editrice Dardo, Casa Editrice Dardo under editor Franco Baglioni
