Little Known Spaghetti Western Actors ~ David Birks

[These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]

David Durant Birks was born in Nantwich, Cheshire, England on September 24, 1914. He appeared in ten films over a 20-year period from 1959 to 1968. His roles were small character parts. Two of his better-known films were “Captain Horatio Hornblower” with Gregory Peck in 1951 where he plays a crewman, “The Son of Robin Hood” starring David Hedison in 1958 as an outlaw and “The Hound of the Baskervilles” in 1959 with Peter Cushing where he plays a servant.

David’s only Euro-western was as a rider in 1965’s “Carry on Cowboy” in 1965.
