Katja Bennefeld was born in Germany in 1902. She had a short career in German films in over 20 films from 1932 until her final appearance in 1939. Her most well-known films were To her well-known movies belong "Die beiden Seehunde" (34), "Das Mädchen Johanna" (35), "Der Tiger von Eschnapur" (38), "Wasser für Canitoga" (38) and "Brand im Ozean" (39).
When war broke out in Europe, she retired from the film business and what became of her is unknown.
Katja appeared in one Euro-western as a street girl in 1939’s “Wasser für Canitoga” (Water for Canitoga” starring Hans Albers.
