Legendary
western character actor L.Q. Jones died in his Hollywood home on July 9, 2022.
He was 94. Born Justice Ellis McQueen in Beaumont, Texas on August 19, 1927 he
took his stage name from his first film role in 1955’s “Battle Cry”. His film
roles include “The Wild Bunch”, “Major Dundee”, “Ride the High Country” and “Pat
Garrett and Billy the Kid”. L.Q. appeared in one Spaghetti western 1972’s “The
Hunting Party” as Hog Warren along with Gene Hackman and Oliver Reed.
