Producer Mark Carliner and director Jerry Paris, before departing for Rome for a March start on “Viva Max,” set Lynn Stalmaster as casting director and a definite March 10 starting date for the Commonwealth United, Peter Ustinov-starrer. The story was scripted by Elliot Baker from the novel by James Lehrer. After shooting is complete at the Di Laurentiis Studios in Rome, production will switch to Houston, Texas
