Remo De Angelis was born in Rome, Ialy on July 28, 1926. He was one of the greatest stuntmen and stunt coordinators in the Italian film industry. A master swordsman found work in the genre in the mid-1950s with his first credited appearance in the 1956 film “Lo spadaccino misterioso” (The Mysterious Swordsman). As his reputation grew his talents were put to use as a stuntman and coordinator. He was an assistant director and master of arms on many of the Spaghetti westerns and action films made in Italy. He was also involved in special effects and was an instructor to many of the actors in the use of guns and swords. He appeared in at least 11 peplum films that we are aware of.
When the Spaghetti western genre replaced the peplum films Remo moved right along with the trend becoming a master of arms and stunt coordinator and did many stunts and even became a decent actor during the 1960s and 1970s. He appeared in two dozen Spaghetti westerns from 1962 till 1974. He was sometimes billed under the aliases Erik Schippers or Erik Shippers.
His last film appearance was as a killer in 1982’s “Monsignor”.
After leaving the film industry in the early 1980s he became a well know artist and his paintings have been exhibited across Italy.
Remo died in Rome on October 9, 2014, at the age of 88.

Remo De Angelis was the weapons master for "A Man Called Sledge" from 1970, which I've seen before, but he also did stunts. Please do not try any of Remo's stunts at home. LOL
