Anita Maria Celeste Marchetti was born in Bethnal Green, London, England on January 28, 1886. Anita was married to director, writer, actor David Henry Aylott [1885-1969] and they had four children. She took her married name and acted under the name Anita Aylott and was active in the theatre and film industry from the early 1900s to the late 1940s. Aylott began her career in the theatre, appearing in a number of plays in the West End of London. She made her film debut in the silent film “The Great Adventure” in 1915. In the 1920s, Anita Aylott began appearing in sound films, including “The Man Who Changed His Name” (1928). Anita Aylott's last film appearance was in the 1948 film “The White Sheik”.

Anita and David Aylott were both born a year apart just like my parents were. David outlived Anita by twenty-one years. She died in 1948 and he died in 1969.
