Who Are Those Gals ~ Joelle Coeur

Joelle Coeur was born Joëlle Faguet in France on November 2, 1948. Before appearing in films she worked as a model for such French magazines as Nous trois #14, Nature et beauté #6 and Netherlands Chick #69 while also appearing in erotic novels.

In the cinema, Joëlle Coeur mainly works into soft-core erotic films and becomes very popular in the first half of the 1970s. She was sometimes found credited under her real name of Faguet.

Thanks to her collaboration with Jean Rollin that she is still remembered. He knows how to take advantage of her sensuality in two erotic films “Tout le monde il en a deux” (Young Immodest Girls) and Les Démoniaques” (Everyone Has Too) and especially in “Les Demoniacs” where she played Tina, the perverse muse of a band of ship wreckers. Considered one of the most beautiful sex actresses of the period, she worked three times for José Bénazéraf. After “Black Love”, she starred in “Voir Malte et mourir” (See Malta and Die) and “Les Lesbiennes”, two films shot in Malta. She appeared on the covers of issues #18 and #30 of the monthly Euro cinema.

In 1976, she showed her talents as an actress by taking on a double role in “Et si tu tu n'en n'ent want” under the direction of Jacques Besnard. We also find her alongside Michael Lonsdale in the short film “La Nuit du beau marin perhaps”. When porn is essential, she refused to shoot any such hardcore scenes and preferred to leave the movie industry.

Since 1979 she’s worked as a psychotherapist.
