European Western Comic Books ~ Albo dello Sceriffo


This comic book series does not contain new adventures of THE LITTLE SHERIFF, but reprints and unpublished episodes of various characters. On the first ten numbers he proposes EL BAVOT by Franco Bignotti (first 84 strips) and, taking them from ALBO DEL TOTEM, the first episodes of ROY DALLAS by Mario Cubbino and BILL E BOSS by Ernesto and José Garcia. From #11 begins the new adventures of the two characters. For ROY DALLAS, Ferdinando Tacconi (#13 and #14), Francesco Pescador (#19) and Aldo Di Gennaro (#20 and #21) are flanked by Cubbino. From #11 other reprints begin. In addition to PICCOLA FRECCIA by Ferdinando Corbella and SETTIMO LANCIERI by Mario Cubbino, Gigi Coppola's "Sud di Monzambico" and "In the Name of the Tsar" by Franco Paludetti "come from ALBO DEL TOTEM", from EL BRAVO the SLIM SERIES THE BOY D ' STEEL by Aldo Toldo, and by THE LITTLE SHERIFF Gold Series MARLINA by Mario Cubbino. Among the unpublished episodes "Soldati del cielo" by Giovanni Ticci and F. Bernini, "La piccola Ling" by Hugo Pratt (#21) and the cineromanzo "Adventures of the 4 Musketeers" with Domenico Modugno. Finally published comic stories, taken from IL GIORNALINO MIO, of FLIP AND FLOP, THE FOX AND THE CROW, MERRY GHOSTS, TITO AND BURRITO, PICCHIATELLO 

The comic book series was published beginning in January 1959 and ended on October 22, 1960. It was published by the Torelli Publishing House in Milan, Italy under the direction of Tristano Torelli. Each issue contained 96 black and white pages with color covers. 

The entire series is collected in 7 volumes called ALBO DEL CASTORO which contain three books each (except #1 of 1961 which collects four books, the numbers 13/16).
RC1 - REGISTER OF THE BEAVER #1/4 - May / August 1960. Collects #1/12.
RC2 - REGISTER OF THE BEAVER #1/3 - July / September 1961. Collects #13/22.
