We continue our search for locations for “A Few Dollars
for Django”. After putting the rowdies in jail Regan returns to the street and
gets acquainted with Sally Norton who has finished her shopping and prepares to
return to the ranch. Regan follows her from a distance in order to find out
where the ranch is located.
This location is in Manzanares el Real and shows up in
almost every western filmed in Spain. It is the location of the widows ranch in
“The Big Gundown”, where Tuco is captured by Blondie in “The Good, the Bad and
the Ugly” and many others. This area today still looks just like in did 50
years ago but with housing creeping up all around two sides of the open flat
land below the rocky outcropping behind.
