Ray Thompson is a young American engineer traveling to Mexico, he becomes involved, against his will, in the unrest that has long upset the life of the village in which he stops. The territory is in fact bullied by a shady individual who, with the connivance of the sheriff, aims to monopolize the trade in the area, preventing wagons loaded with merchandise, for the other retailers, to arrive at their destination. Thompson, hesitantly at first, ends up accepting the post to transport from a nearby town to the village a load of goods purchased from a local merchant. The desperation of the company exposes Thompson to the reprisals of the offender and his men. Besieged by bandits, Thompson is about to succumb, but finally makes way to use of a machine gun of his own invention, and is able to eliminate his opponents.
