Josef-Peter Schorn was born on February 19, 1911 in Aachen, Germany. His first film appearance was in 1953's “Das kleine und das große Glück” where he played a chauffeur. Joe as he became known as would go on to appear in over 35 films and television appearances until his retirement in 1976. Joe was also an accomplished singer and the father of actress Uta Schorn [1947- ]. Joe appeared in three East German westerns, “Tecumseh” (1972), “Ulzana” and “Kit & Co” both in 1974. Today we celebrate what would have been Joe Schorn’s 100th birthday.
Born in Toledo, Ohio in 1946 I have a BA degree in American History from Cal St. Northridge. I've been researching the American West and western films since the early 1980s and visiting filming sites in Spain and the U.S.A. Elected a member of the Spaghetti Western Hall of Fame 2010.
