Fernando Martínez Delgado was born on June 28, 1930, in Porucna, Jaén, Spain. He followed in the same profession as his parents, the acting couple Luis Martínez Tovar [1884-1938] and Julia Delgado Caro [1893-1975]. Fernando gained his first stage experience with his parents' acting troupe in the 1940s. He then received offers for film roles beginning in 1953 until he switched to television ten years later, there he appeared in countless episodes of various series. During this time Fernando also worked as a dubbing actor.
Fernando married Carmen Valero in 1957 and is the father of twins Fernando Delgado and SFX specialist Albert Delgado born in 1958. He also has a daughter Julia Maria born in 1962.
Fernando Delgado died from lung disease in Madrid, Spain on June 15, 2009.
Fernando appeared in two Spaghetti westerns: “El Coyote” in 1954 as Bruch and “La venganza del Zorro” (Zorro the Avenger) as Padre Francisco in 1962.
