As we know most of the Euro-westerns were co-productions from Italy, Spain, Germany and France which incorporated British and American actors to gain a worldwide audience. The films were shot silent and then dubbed into the various languages where they were sold for distribution. That means Italian, Spanish, German, French and English voice actors were hired to dub the films. Even actors from the countries where the film was to be shown were often dubbed by voice actors for various reasons such as the actors were already busy making another film, they wanted to be paid additional salaries for dubbing their voices, the actor’s voice didn’t fit the character they were playing, accidents to the actors and in some cases even death before the film could be dubbed.
I’ll list a Euro-western and the (I) Italian, (S)

in a while a bio on a specific voice actor as in Europe these actors are as
well-known as the actors they voiced.

Jesús Ferrer (1941 – 2011)
Jesús Ferrer Baza was born in Barcelona, Spain on March 28, 1941. He was a Catalan actor who specialized in voice-over and dubbing, popular for his warm voice and his appearances in TV3 television series.
Ferrer's greatest asset was his voice, warm and velvety but at the same time deep and deep. Thus, he was a frequent voice in audiovisual reports, especially on cultural topics, such as Catalunya des de l'aire, Catalunya des del mar, Els Pirineus des de l'aire and Memòria de Catalunya.
He began as a theater actor, and from 1981 he appeared on television in the famous drama program ‘Estudio 1’, on Spanish Television, 4 in ‘La vida en un bloc’, which adapted an original play by Carlos Llopis, ‘Clerambard’, by the French playwright Marcel Aymé, and in 1989 in the play ‘Los suaves murmullos del mar’. In 1989 he began his time at TV3, recreating the figure of the director of the Caixa Segura entity in an episode of ‘Tot un senyor’, together with José Sazatornil and Teresa Cunillé. He appeared in 11 episodes of ‘El joc de viure’ and 26 of ‘Ventdelplà’ (as Dr. Pere Rosselló). He also acted in the miniseries ’23-F: el día más difícil del rey’ (2009), where he played General José Juste, a figure who contributed to the failure of the conspiracy. He also starred in ”El coronel Macià”, a film directed in 2006 by Josep Maria Forn.
In the field of Catalan dubbing, he voiced actors such as Harrison Ford, Clint Eastwood, Marlon Brando, Michael Caine, Clark Gable, Richard Gere, Jack Nicholson, Humphrey Bogart, James Garner, Anthony Quinn, Burt Lancaster and Gene Hackman among many others.
He died on November 7, 2011, in Barcelona after a long
illness.
