On the outskirts of Rome, among dust, boots and old saloons, the spirit of the spaghetti western comes back to life thanks to an ambitious film project signed by Ron Moss. The American actor, known to the general public for his historic role in "Beautiful", makes his directorial debut with an international film shot entirely in the charming western village of Meatfield Town, in Campo di Carne, a hamlet of Aprilia.

The film (“Rejected”), still shrouded in secrecy regarding the title and plot, already presents itself as a declaration of love to the genre that made Italy famous in the world in the sixties and seventies.

"Directing my first film is a great responsibility," Ron Moss told Radio Roma. "It requires a lot of planning, a lot of energy and different artistic skills. So, let's combine all these skills and hope to achieve something that we will all be proud of."

Filming takes place on a set built with passion and authenticity, thanks to the tireless work of Tiziano Carnevale, a former stuntman, who has transformed his passion for the films of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill into a real city of the West.

The cast also includes Stefano Sala and Daniel Nilsson, well-known faces of Italian television, who enthusiastically tried their hand at the western genre. "It was a complete immersion in nature," Sala said, "a regenerating experience to say the least. And then working with Ron Moss, testing myself with the American way of making cinema is an extraordinary opportunity".

The film directed by Ron Moss promises a dynamic and energetic experience. The project also represents an opportunity to relaunch the Pontine territory and for a genre that seemed to have been forgotten.

Meatfield Town, which has already been the location for several other film productions, is about to present itself on social media with a new official page. The promoter Tiziano Carnevale has announced events, initiatives and new western-themed productions. For what wants to be a real rebirth, like an Arabian phoenix, of the spaghetti western. But where you least expect it: in the heart of the Agro Pontino.
