Eolo Capritti was born in Pescara, Abruzzo, Italy on November 2, 1918. He appeared both in front of and behind the camera during his career eighteen as a production supervisor, unit manager, production secretary, and seventy-four as an actor from 1948, when he plays the part of a carabiniere in the film “Bicycle Thieves” by Vittorio De Sica. Later he entered the field of film production, first as a secretary, then as an inspector and finally as a production manager. Eolo was also worked as a voice actor
Because of his physical characteristics he was also chosen by Federico Fellini who hired him for a role in “Ginger and Fred”.
As an actor he took part in many films, because of his bald head and rugged looks he almost always appeared in the role as a "tough guy". Eolo also used the pseudonym of Al Capri, in secondary roles as a character actor.
Eolo Capritti died in Poli, Rome, Lazio, Italy on September 15, 2007. He was 88.
Eolo appeared in one Spaghetti western in 1974’s Royal Canadian Mounted Police Captain Fairmont in “La Spacconata” (White Fang and the Gold Diggers). He also worked as a production manager on “Zanna Bianca e il cacciatore solitario” (White Fang and the Hunter) that same year.
