Nicola Di Gioia was born in Andria, Apulia, Italy on May 13, 1944. He was known as a film and TV actor, stuntman, and extras casting coordinator and cinema historian.
Di Gioia was a regular on Marco Giusti’s ‘Stracult. Television series and was indispensable in helping Marco find old actors, directors and other film personnel from the Italy’s Golden age of film who had virtually disappeared from the public eye. Nicola began his career in the early 1960s in Sword and Sandal films and then merged into the Spaghetti western genre and continued working till his death in Rome on July 31, 2017.
