Roberto Bertea Was born in Argenta, Emilia-Romagna, Italy on June 27, 1922. He debuted as an actor in rhe 1930s in theater productions. He was noticed by director Carmine Gallone who cast him for a part in the film Oltre l'amore. After World War II he began his dubbing career as a voice actor and director working for CID and SAS in Rome. Roberto voiced Scrooge McDuck in ‘Scrooge McDuck and Money’ in 1967.
Bertea was also very active in radio prose for Radio Rai until the 1960s, he also worked as a presenter of entertainment shows, often together with his colleague Gianna Piaz, working occasionally, as a scriptwriter, screenwriter, director and dialogue adaptor. He also appeared on television but they were very rare.
Roberto Bertea died on December 28, 1985, at the age of 63.
His only Spaghetti western appearance was a small part in 1971’s “e alla fine lo chiamarono Jerusalem l'implacabile” (Panhandle Caliber .38).
