Miguel Sanchez Del Castillo appeared in over 100 films and TV series yet there is little to nothing about him on the internet or in books and encyclopedias. He was a Spanish actor who began his film career in 1939’s “Carmen fra i rossi” directed by Edgar Neville and starring Fosco Giachetti, Rafael Rivelles and Conchita Montes. His last appearance was in 1983’s TV mini-series ‘Sonatas’.
Among his 100+ films were 36 Spaghetti westerns. Miguel played all kinds of characters from politicians, generals, lawmen, judges, bankers to waiters and casino employees. He could do and did it all. Whatever role was needed in Spanish cinema it seems Del Castillo could perform it sincerity and believability.
Too bad we have to add his name to the many Spanish and Italian actors of this genre that nothing was recorded about their story and careers.
