Spaghetti Western Locations Then and Now – “A Bullet for the General”

 Here we see a Tabernas desert scene from “A Bullet for the General” notice the fake cactus in the distance. Although cactus does grow in Spain, Saguaro cactus is not a native cactus, so fakes were made and placed to simulate the American desert of southern Arizona where the succulent is plentiful.

The cactus in foreground does look real and was probably grown in Spain but the ones in the distance are fakes.
