Max-Henri Boulois was born in Martinique in 1936. An athletics champion, Max-Henri started as a journalist in 1961. He worked at L'Aurore, at L'Équipe, then at the ORTF.

In the 1970s he lived in Spain. Under the name Max B, he composed and performed songs and acts in some Spanish films. The following year, he produced and directed “Othello, el comando negro”, a modernization of Shakespeare's play in which he played the role of Othello while Tony Curtis played Iago6.
