The Real Jet set are the performers. Take Italian
actress Evi Marandi, for instance. Miss Marandi finished a picture in her
native Rome, flew out the next day for another in Caracas, Venezuela. Then to
Hollywood for guest shots on Ironside, Dundee and the Culhane, the Joey Bishop
Show and Dating Game, the latter appearance this Saturday night. And now back
to Rome. These kids spend most of their lives up in the Wild Blue Yonder.
Miss Arandi told me, “Television in Italy, is how you say it? For the birds.”
There are, she informed, only two channels, both state-owned. Commercials are limited to one 15-minute period a day. (A blessing~!)
