We continue our search for
locations from “Adios, Sabata”. After Folgen is disposed of Sabata, Escudo and
Gitano return to the courtyard and Sabata disposes of the remaining soldiers
with this rifle. After the shooting stops Septiembre emerges from the warehouse
alone. When asked about Ballantine the
mute makes the sign of the cross. They all look at each other in
disbelief. Then they hear the sound of Ballantine’s watch and Septiembre pulls
it from his pocket and Escudo immediately takes it while giving Septiembre a
discouraging look. Upon looking at their hands both men see gold dust on them
and the watch. Sabata gives each of them a puzzling look and then they all run
to the warehouse. Looking around Sabata sees nothing but dead soldiers while
Ballantine and the wagon have disappeared. Opening the back doors of the
warehouse he spots Ballantine quickly driving the wagon away.
The scene was filmed at the DeLaurentis
Mexican village outside of Rome;
