The entire series was drawn by Italian artist Pini Segna.

Pini Segna was born in Florence, Italy on October 22, 1925. During World War II Pini fights with the partisan group (the Masche) and was a member of the 48th Garibaldi Brigade with the nom de guerre "Rudy" and fights in the Langhe. After the war he moved to Milan where, after graduating from Brera in 1945, he entered the business of illustrator. He made his debut in comics in 1946 with 'Il giustiziere mascherato' for the editors Nuova Aurora, and the following year he realized 'Agent K6' for Sport Editorial, he then worked gradually, with many other publishers, including Taurinia Mars, Alpe, Youth Publishing House and Torelli. For Torelli he designed various episodes of 'Primo Carnera', in a series which had among employees also Franco Paludetti, Camillo Zuffi and the trio EsseGesse.

After numerous other experiences with comic adventure genre, Westerns and war, in the mid-1960s he signed a few stories of "Neri" 'Kriminal' and 'Zakimort', and then worked for a long time on the pages of the Jungle Girl 'Akim', initially published by Thomasina. In 1977 Pini made his debut in the Bonelli House number 141 of 'Zagor' beginning with 'La macchia verde', written by Guido Nolitta / Sergio Bonelli, a collaboration that continued until the mid-1980s. In the 1990s he moved to Dogliani and, after almost completely abandoning the comics, he devoted himself to painting.

In the spring of 2007 he was injured in a car accident and was hospitalized. A few weeks later he suffered a stroke and since then lived in a nursing home in Salmour. He died on September 13, 2012.
