Film Adventures

 

This comic book anthology presents various series of film novels. A total of 153 issues were released divided into three series (the first two in strip format, the third in paperback format). Non-progressive numbering.

Series I #1 (July 1, 1950) #42 (19 April 18, 1951)

Series II #1 (April 26, 1951) #87 (December 18, 1952)

Series III #1 (June 13, 1953) #24 (November 21, 1953)

 

Series I: published western film novels and a Zorro film. The Zorro books have double numbering: their own, from #1 to #6 in the internal management, and a series progressive on the cover IV.

Series II: 4 western films are presented in the first 24 issues; from #25, ten Tarzan films.

Series III: three serialized film novels are presented in each issue: The Missouri Hunter (#1/4); Korea in flames (#1/5); The Avenger of Manila (#1/7); Hatred of Blood (#5/9); Nagasaki (#7/12); Doctor Cyclops (#8/12); Wild blonde (#10/13); The Jamaica Tavern (#13/20); A Vagabond at the Court of France (#13/17); The Sacrificed (#14/18); Robin Hood's Heir (#18/24); The Hawks of Rangoon (#19/24). It will resume as The Monthly Photoromance.

This series was published in 1950 beginning with issue #1 being released on July 1, 1950, and ending with #24 on November 21, 1953. It was published by POE in Milan, Italy under the direction of Giuseppe Ponzoni. Each issue contained 32-48 black and white pages with color covers.
