50th Anniversary of the premier of “Don’t Touch the White Woman”

 

Today marks the 50^th anniversary of the Paris premier of “Touche pas à la femme blanche” (Don’t Touch the White Woman) directed by Marco Ferreri and starring Marcello Mastroianni, Ugo Tognazzi and Catherine Deneuve. The film tells the story of General Custer's battle against Sitting Bull which is juxtaposed with an excavation tied to an urban renewal project in Paris in 1974.
