Who Are Those Singers & Musicians ~ The Honeybeats

The Honeybeats were a German rock group popular in the late 1960s. The Honeybeats formed after Italian-born Marta Cion met a female folk trio in Munich and convinced them to form a four-piece band with her. They found their lead singer, Norma Green from Scotland and released the German-language “Frag’ Nicht Soviel” b/w “Vergiss Es Nie” on Metronome in 1966. They released the Italian-language “Di Piu’, Di Piu’, Di Piu'” backed with “Fa Un Po Quello Che Vuoi” on Ricordi International in 1968. The band dissolved by the end of the decade while Green would go on to have a solo career in the 1970s.

The group appeared in the 1966 Spaghetti musical western “A Fistful of Songs” where they performed their song “A-a-a-dici”.
