Little Known Spaghetti Western Actors ~ Christoph Bayertt

[These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]

 

Christoph Beyertt was a East German actor born in Potsdam, Brandenburg, Germany on July 19, 1922. He appeared in 60 films and TV appearances between 1954 and 1983. He studied acting at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna, Austria. Christoph. He’s remembered for his performances in “Les Misérables” (1958), “Das unsichtbare Visier” (1973) and “Der Dritte” (1972). He won several awards, including the German Film Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in “The Tin Drum”.

Christoph died in Berlin, Germany on October 14, 2021 a the age of 99.

His only Euro-western was as the mayor in 1974’s “Kit & Co.” starring Dean Reed. Here he was billed as Christoph Bayertt.
